The Jamais Vu

Jamais Vu

jamais vu — the experience of perceiving the familiar as if for the very first time. The opposite of déjà vu. A word built by neurologists for a feeling that doesn’t have one in English.

Three crafts. One lens. Every project starts in the same place: the question of how to make something familiar feel new again. A song you’ve heard a hundred times. A face that’s been in front of a camera since childhood. A system someone built five years ago and stopped looking at.

Sound — catered and designed sonic adventures, where every genre is fair game and the common thread is the flow. Imagery — captured and composed visual statements across portraits, bands, editorial, fashion, and fine art. Systems — flow engineered and augmented with AI, custom-tailored applications and fullstack deployments. The work changes shape; the practice does not.

This isn’t a method. It’s a way of paying attention. Two decades of it, across three crafts, and one lens that ties them together.
